The Drip 60 Potz System is a top feed hydroponics dripper system, designed to be used with almost any pot of any size and also any type of growing media you choose. It is available with round or square pots, Root Pouch's or Air Pots and it is also available without any pots at all, just incase you already have some.
The Drip 60 Potz System is supplied with a Grasslin plug timer and an Ecotechnics minute timer, to control your feed times with more precision and allow you to time it correctly so that you have some solution run off from each pot. You can easily view the run off from each pot without lifting them, to ensure all the plants in the system are being fed evenly and correctly.
The pump in the main reservoir will switch on when a setting is reached on the minute timer and your nutrient solution will be pumped up through an inline filter and into the main irrigation delivery system. It will travel through the pipes and fittings and be emmited from two drippers that are placed into your chosen growing media in each pot. The nutrient solution can then drain down through the media to feed the roots and any excess solution can run off into the specially moulded Potz saucers.
The moulded design of the Potz saucer allows a fitting and pipe to be connected below the pot so all the excess solution can quickly drain away leaving no puddles. This allows the media and roots in the pot to dry slightly before the next watering. A mesh filter made of HDPE, lines each saucer and your pot is placed on top. These mesh filters prevent any roots or debris entering the drain system and blocking the pipes below. Once the excess solution has entered the drain pipes it can then travel into the Header Return Potz.
The Header Return Potz is fitted with an MJ1000 pump and a float switch which are both connected together inside a waterproof electrical box, fitted outside the Potz. The electrical box has a mains lead which should be plugged in permanently and not on a timer. As the excess solution enters the Header Return Potz and raises the float switch it will automatically turn on the MJ pump and remove the excess solution from the system through a pipe. This pipe can be placed into the main reservoir to re-circulate the excess solution or it can be placed into another tank or drain to run the excess solution to waste.
