Polyanthus - Large Flowered Mix

Polyanthus Large Flowered Mix is a hardy perennial, that flowers the year after sowing.

• Sow indoors thinly on the surface of a small tray of pre-watered compost.
• Place in a cold frame, unheated greenhouse or on a cool windowsill.
• Keep moist and do not let the surface of the compost dry out.
• A temperature of 10-15c is ideal.
• Higher temperatures may inhibit germination.
• Seedlings usually appear 21-42 days.
• Pot on individually when large enough to handle to 8cm pots.
• Always hold seedlings by a lead, never by the stem.
• Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions before planting out, spacing 20cm apart.
